Ah yea, bet that makes it fit a bit more snugly?

Mine don't need to be more snug. I have trouble pulling them out.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
The tape around it might be better to pull with.
As the owner of several real Enfields, all I can say is that I'd love one of these.

Eh, I have a feeling US Customs wouldn't look kindly on them shipping one to me.
What's the base airsoft rifle of the No4? Mine's recent - early this year.
In particular, I'm after hop adjustment information.
What are the mags modified from?
Used to be APS-2 based with different hop units.
Not sure what it is now. I sold my S&S No.4 to Craig a while back
I think they are now based on APS Type 96s, mine is anyway.
Hop adjustment is via a small allen key hole in the magazine well.
Thanks.
I figured it'd be that, but any idea which way to turn it?
Clockwise for more hop, anti-clockwise for less hop.

No, sorry, I'm being thick.
It's anticlockwise (undo) for more hop and clockwise (do up) for less hop, if I remember correctly. It's a 1.5mm grub screw.
Don't loosen/turn it anticlockwise too much or else it'll interfere with/damadge the nozzel when the bolt is pushed back into place.

OK. But I think it's a 1.25mm hex - my 1.5mm driver doesn't fit, but the supplied allen key does.
You can always get a couple of different springs and change them as needed.
It takes a bit of effort to do, but it's by no means impossible. I suggest chatting to warren about this.
What is the lasting impression of the SS No4 then guys?
I'll be selling my springer Kar98k very shortly and am keen to keep the funds from that in my airsoft "float".

The only thing I've had to with ours is tighten up the bolt holding the stock on when it started to get loose. Other than that, if you don't touch it and leave it at about 400 fps they are accurate, consistent and pretty rugged.
I like ours, but just regret upgrading one of them.
Oddly, the bolt on mine has loosened recently.
Is it a slotted-head screw, like the real steel?
Sorry for delay. Yes it's a big slot headed bolt. You will need a long screwdriver to get to it though.
i only ever have used original stock bolts,
if any one has Q just ask me direct,
cheers

That's not a problem. I have some about 18 inches long...
